Walker wins Texas Open, his fourth PGA Tour victory

American Jimmy Walker took advantage of the advantage acquired after the third day over the rest of his rivals to win the title of champion in the Valero Texas Open golf tournament, included in the PGA circuit.

Walker’s final round at the JW Marriott TPC San Antonio (USA) was 70 strokes, two under par, enough to maintain the four-stroke lead he had held since the third day over his compatriot Jordan Spieth, second, who also had 70 strokes and a total of 281.

With this victory Jimmy Walker achieves his fourth PGA title of his career after the three he won last season.

Mexico’s Carlos Ortiz lost steam on the last day and was only able to card a 73, one over par, which left him in fifteenth place with a total of 289 (+1).

Argentina’s Fabien Gomez and Andres Romero finished the tournament in 44th and 66th place, respectively, while Venezuela’s Jhonattan Vegas finished 68th with 301.
