
The team of the Real Club de Golf de Sevillacaptained by Francisco Puenteand integrated by Pablo Heredia Iglesias, Gonzalo Leal Montero, and Ignacio and Lucila Puente Rodriguez de Austriahas been crowned as the new champion of the Children and Cadet Interclubs of Andalucíawhich was played over two days at the Cadiz course of the La Cañada Golf Club La Cañada Golf Club.
The Real Club de Golf de Sevilla has dominated the competition from the opening round, played under the Foursome modality, placing its “A” team as leader with nine strokes of income over another of its representative teams.
On the second day, the quartet from Seville certified its brilliant triumph in the individual laps to win for the first time a championship that celebrated its inaugural edition in 1986.
Alcaidesa Links Golf Resort, directed by José Mateo, and composed of Enrique Marín Santander, Carlota Bascuas Clemente, Calvin John Greschner and Lucio Winckley, climbed to second place on the last day thanks, especially, to the magnificent card of 67 strokes (-4) signed by Calvin John Greschner.
Thus, Alcaidesa and Real Club de Golf de Sevilla reversed the positions of the last edition when the Cadiz team won the title at the La Cala Resort complex in Malaga.
The third place went to Club de Golf La Cañada. The local foursome, with Alberto Gutiérrez as captain, and formed by Fernando Galiano Muñoz, Mimi Rhodes, José Miguel Argenta García and Emmanuel Torres Salvador, repeated the position achieved a week ago in the XXXV Campeonato de España Interclubes Infantil REALE .
As for the handicap classification, the “D” team of the Real Club de Golf de Sevilla, composed of Juan de la Torre Coca, Ana Amalia Pina Ortega, Carmen Maldonado Luna and Esther Pino Rider, won the victory with a cumulative net 352 strokes.
As for the other winners, siblings Lucila and Ignacio Puente (Real Club de Golf de Sevilla) were the winners for the best Foursome round of the tournament (70 strokes).
Also, regarding the individual awards, Victor Bjorlow (The San Roque Club), tied at 67 strokes with Calvin John Greschner, was the author of the best Individual Men’s card, while Carolina Ronchel Salas(Club de Golf Bellavista) obtained the best result (73 strokes) in the women’s category.
After the twenty-one participating teams finished the second and final day, the distribution of prizes began with the presence of Manuel Garvayo, Acting President of the Youth and Children’s Committee of the Royal Andalusian Golf Federation; and Francisco Jordano, Chief Referee of the Interclub Championship for Children and Cadets of Andalusia 2013.
