Emilio Hernandez and Marta Lopez triumph in the Puntuable de Almeria at Alborán Golf

Emilio Hernandez and Marta Lopez have been proclaimed winners in the Andalusian Men’s and Women’s Andalusian Scoring, which has been played in Alboran Golf in two days of 18 holes each, under stroke play scratch mode.

Starting with the men’s category, Emilio Hernandez, has accumulated a total of 143 strokes (-1) to lead the standings. The player from Almerimar Golf finished yesterday the first round with a card of 75 strokes, but during the day  today has delivered a brilliant second round of 68 -the best of the day- to stand at the top of the table with five strokes ahead of the local player, Gonzalo Maldonado, who has occupied the second place.

As for the women’s classification, Marta López Echevarría, today added 72 strokes to the 77 with which she finished the first round yesterday and -with a total of 149- was four strokes ahead of the Miraflores Golf player, Magdalena Cervinkova, who yesterday was the first leader of the competition after the first round.

Finally, Carlos Agüera and Refeca Fernández were the winners in the handicap category with 139 and 135 net strokes.

After the sports day, the awards ceremony was presided over by Francisco Venegas, Director of Alborán Golf; Fernando Pacheco, Member of the Men’s Committee of the Royal Andalusian Golf Federation; and Francisco Contreras, Chief Referee of the event.
