Kevin Na gives his caddy the car he had just won at the Colonial as a gift.

Caddie Kenny Harms can boast of having one of the best bosses on the American Tour. And it is that Kevin Na, to whom he has been carrying the clubs for a decade, holds him in high esteem. “He’s like he’s my brother,” said the American champion of his caddie, who this weekend won the Charles Schwab Challenge at Colonial Country Club, his third victory on the PGA Tour.

Na pocketed a check of 1.3 million dollars for his victory, but in addition to these emoluments, he also received a peculiar gift: a restored classic car, specifically a 1973 Dodge Challenger. Na didn’t think twice and immediately gave the car to his caddy.

“I don’t know how my caddie convinced me to give him the car, but I think he’s a good seller,” Na said after sealing a final-round 66 to secure victory by four strokes over Tony Finau. “But I’m more than happy to give it to him – he deserves it.”

Na and Harms have been working together for 11 years, and apparently the two came to an agreement before the tournament began at Colonial regarding the car on display not far from the 18th green, an agreement Na had no problem honoring. Mind you, with one caveat, he wanted to be the first to put the pedal to the metal.
