Win a BMW and $10,000 on holes-in-one in two years

There is no doubt that Mike Petrozelli is a lucky guy. He defines himself as a normal, run-of-the-mill golfer, but there’s little ordinary about him, at least as far as his aim on par 3’s is concerned. The gentleman, an American by all accounts, won a BMW 320i last year by making a hole-in-one in a tournament for VIP guests, and this year he won $10,000 and a free day’s shopping by holing another par 3.They should ban me from participating in these competitions,” laughed the winner, who admitted to being a rather weak golfer, with average rounds between 80 and many and 90 and a few.

His $10,000 hole-in-one was made playing with his brother-in-law in a scramble round in which they had scored two eagles on the front nine. Petrocelli’s ace was on a 166-yard par 3 using a Ping 5-iron and a Titleist Pro V ball. The ball bounced and rolled straight to the hole. “It’s crazy, it’s my fourth hole-in-one, and the last two have had prizes,” said the lucky golfer. “I’m good at getting to the green,” he added.

This final hole-in-one is the only one Petrozelli clearly saw going in. “It was unbelievable,” he described.

In the tournament there was also another prize, a car, a Honda, for whoever got a hole-in-one on another par 3. “I put the ball on the green and almost got scared in case it went in,” he said.

Petrozelli’s luck is not limited to golf: a few years ago he won $10,000 in a lottery.
