Fernández-Castaño on a roll: second at the Tokyo Open

He is on a roll, and a good one, after the bad streak he had been dragging for many months. Gonzalo Fernandez-Castaño finished second with 205 strokes, four more than Japan’s Toshinori Muto, in the Tokyo Open, a tournament ruined by the incessant rain. The rain that did not stop falling on Miyazaki (Japan) caused the second round to be interrupted twice and forced the cancellation of the third day. Fernandez-Castaño went into the last round as leader of the Dunlop Phoenix, but could not withstand the push of the Japanese who completed the round with 8 under par. The Spaniard could not win the second consecutive tournament after winning the previous week the Singapore Open, but this second place will give him a place among the top 50 in the world ranking.
