The Senior Circuit of Andalusia 2015 has inaugurated its season in the Almeria layout of Aguilón Golf. Eighty players participated in the event, playing 18 holes under Stableford Handicap, in two categories for men and one for ladies.
Jº Francisco Guirado (Playa Serena) was proclaimed champion of this first round of the Circuit in the first category of gentlemen, with 35 points. He is followed in the ranking by the player from Valle del Este, Mark Newall, with 30 points, one more than the player from Alborán, Adrian Thomson, who is in third place.
In the second men’s category, José Ramón Espinosa (La Envía) finished in first place with 30 points. He was followed by Juan Antonio León and Adolfo Pedevilla, from the Seniors Golf Association, with 28 points.
As for the ladies, the player of Granada Club de Golf, Ángela Pertíñez was the best in her category with 26 points. Behind her, tied with 24 points, were the player of Lauro Golf, Felicity Jordan, and Amelia Hermoso, from Añoreta.
The awards ceremony was attended by Francisco Cervilla, President of the Senior Committee and Vocal of Foreigners of the Royal Andalusian Golf Federation; Mª José Fernández, Provincial Delegate of the RFGA in Almería; and Lynn Fisher, Vocal of the Foreigners Committee of the RFGA.
The Andalusian Senior Circuit celebrates its 18th edition this year and will visit each of the Andalusian provinces throughout the year, before celebrating its grand finale in November.
